Retired EX 308SMW officers Col. Jim Gray and Maj. Vince Maes have both
been busy helping to create a new museum in Jacksonville. They have
assembled a very impressive collection of military mementos and
artifacts. This is a must see for any military buff and anyone else who
appreciates the sacrifices made by our forefathers who battled to protect
our freedom, both military and civilian alike.

If you're in Jacksonville you must stop by to see this collection!
I WANT TO THANK ALL THOSE WHO ATTENDED THE REUNION FOR
THEIR GENEROSITY AND CONCERN FOR PRESERVING THE HISTORICAL
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE 308TH SMW.  NEARLY $3000,00 WAS DONATED BY
YOU TOWARD THE CREATION OF AN HISTORICAL DISPLAY AT THE
JACKSONVILLE MILITARY MUSEUM.  MY HOPE, AND THAT OF EACH OF
YOU I AM SURE, IS THAT IT WILL REFLECT THE UNTIRING
DEDICATION AND PATRIOTISM OF THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE 308TH
WHO DEFENDED OUR COUNTRY AND ITS IDEALS SO MAGNIFICENTLY
FOR TWENTY FIVE GLORIOUS YEARS.

THANKS,
VINCE MAES.
